Best AI automation agencies in the UK (2026)

A short, honest shortlist of UK AI automation agencies worth a look, plus how to read past the marketing and pick the right one for your business.

The shortlist

Searching for the best AI automation agency in the UK turns up a lot of lists that all say the same thing, mostly because the agencies write them about themselves. This is one of those lists, so we will be straight with you about it.

We have put ourselves first because it is our site, and we would rather admit that than pretend a ranking is objective. The others are in no particular order. We describe each by what we can verify (where they are, what they focus on) and link straight to their site so you can judge for yourself. We have left out the self-reported "we saved a client 340 hours" numbers, because we cannot check them and neither can you.

The shortlist

Cellsior

UK / remote

Best for web and automation together

We are a small UK studio that builds the website and the automation behind it as one job, rather than bolting an AI tool onto a site someone else made. That means lead capture, CRM, on-site assistants and reporting are designed into the build, not added later. We work mostly with SMEs and we will tell you when a single automation beats a full platform.

Flowio

Glasgow

Best for trades and operations

A Glasgow agency specialising in n8n workflows and voice AI agents, with a stated focus on trades, construction and financial services. A good fit if your work is operational and you want the plumbing handled fast.

AI Agency Plus

Leeds

Best for SME back-office

A Leeds-based agency focused on voice AI and n8n automation for SMEs, aimed at customer enquiries, lead follow-up and back-office admin. Worth a look if your bottleneck is the repetitive inbound work rather than the website.

Elevate AI

London

Best for SME-focused rollouts

A London agency building workflows and agents specifically for UK SMEs, with a process-audit-to-deployment model and stated pilot pricing. If you want a structured rollout with training rather than a one-off script, they are pitched at exactly that.

Softomate Solutions

Stanmore, London

Best for bespoke software plus chatbots

A London firm covering AI chatbots, business process automation, voice agents and bespoke software development. Closer to the custom-build end if you need something that does not exist off the shelf.

How to read past the marketing

Every agency on every list sounds excellent on its own homepage. Here is how to tell them apart when you actually talk to them.

  • Ask them to name the tools. A real agency will happily say "we would use n8n here, and a GPT step for the classification". Vagueness about the stack usually means thin technical depth.
  • Ask what it costs to run, not just to build. AI tools and integrations have monthly fees. If they only quote a build price, the running cost is a surprise you pay later.
  • Ask who fixes it at 2am. An automation that touches your business will break eventually. Find out whether support is included or extra.
  • Ask for one thing they talked a client out of. An honest agency has a story about telling someone not to automate something. A pure salesperson does not.
  • Match the agency to your bottleneck. If your problem is the website and the leads it captures, pick someone who does both. If it is pure back-office volume, pick a workflow specialist.
